Native Landscape & Xeriscape Design

for Dripping Springs & Hill Country Outdoor Living

We offer custom landscape designs and installations as well as nursery and container gardening services. Chris, along with his team, can transform small or large spaces into self-thriving wonderlands. Solstice landscape designs tend to be anchored with hardscaping such as paths, patios, sculptures, fountains, rock work, etc. and sprinkled with native or adapted plants that are meant to survive and thrive in the Hill Country with minimal care.  We provide personal service from start to finish, and from what we hear, that's hard to come by these days.
We're honored to be featured on Central Texas Gardener! See owner, Chris Smartt, giving an interview on their website at:
Client's Space Before

One of my biggest challenges is capturing the scope and change that occurs with a landscape installation. Usually the process of photographing the space falls short. Although a rather simple design, the pictures here at least capture the impact a new look can have on even a small space like this side yard entry.

The Process: Consultation => Design => Installation

Consultation:  Call or email us to set up a free consultation. A designer will visit your home to see your space, take some pictures, and listen to your thoughts and ideas. The designer will assess the scope & complexity of the project and discuss a design fee with you, which ranges from $200 - $1000. This covers the time it takes to develop a custom design and guarantees that the concept meets or exceeds your expectations!

Design: We create a 3D sketch* of a custom design specific to your needs and desires and then share it with you. Please be patient as you wait to see your design. We aim to complete projects within two weeks of visiting your home, but, as with any creative work it can take longer. Getting the design just right for your space is the single biggest challenge of the process and we don't want to rush this part.

Installation: Once you accept the design and bid that goes along with it, we get to work! Depending on the time of year, current demands, and size and scope of your project, we schedule jobs anywhere from one to twelve weeks out. When we begin the installation, we make it our top priority to complete the job as efficiently and carefully as possible.
*If you require a schematic for HOA submission purposes, there is an additional $100 fee.
